Inbox, triaged

Ask what actually needs you. Pally reads the pile, flags the few, and drafts the replies.

Most of your inbox is noise wearing an unread badge. Pally reads it the way a great assistant would: finds the messages that genuinely need you, drafts responses, and lets everything else stay ignored.

The routine

How it works

Ask a decision-shaped question rather than opening Gmail or Outlook at the top of the pile. Tell pally what you need to know, such as which messages require an answer today, whether anything has a deadline, or what can safely wait until after a meeting-heavy afternoon.

Pally reads the inboxes you connected and looks at the substance of each message, not just its unread status. It separates requests, confirmations, deadlines, and open questions from newsletters, receipts, and threads where no action is expected from you.

You receive a short triage with the few messages worth your attention and the reason each one made the cut. When a reply is straightforward, pally can prepare a draft from the thread's context so you can review the actual words without writing from a blank page.

Continue by replying with priorities: show one draft, send an approved response, leave a low-priority thread for tomorrow, or ask why something was flagged. Pally keeps the email context attached to the conversation, while any outgoing message waits for your clear approval.

A useful fit

Good for

  • Finding client or colleague questions buried in a busy inbox
  • Spotting forms and requests with a real deadline
  • Separating replies you owe from messages that only inform you
  • Drafting routine answers with the full email thread in view
  • Checking Gmail and Outlook through one focused question

Text it naturally

Things to try

what in gmail actually needs an answer from me before lunch?
check outlook for anything with a deadline this week
draft replies to the two messages you think are most urgent
leave the rest for tomorrow and show me the landlord thread

Before you start

Common questions

Does inbox triage mark every unread message as important?+

No. The purpose is to distinguish messages that need your judgment or response from general updates and noise. Pally summarizes why a message deserves attention so you can make the final call quickly.

Can pally send a reply for me?+

Pally can draft a response using the context in Gmail or Outlook, then show you the wording. A message that goes to someone else only sends after you approve it, so you can edit, redirect, or leave it unsent.

What if I use both Gmail and Outlook?+

Connect the inboxes you want pally to use and say whether the request covers one or both. The triage can bring the important items into one text while still telling you where each thread came from.
