Email catch-up
A weekend away turns into 126 unread. Pally reads them all and hands you the four lines that matter.
The routine
How it works
The companion to triage: where triage answers "what needs me," catch-up answers "what happened." Pally reads the unread pile across your inboxes and gives you the plot in one message.
- Tell Pally how far back the gap goes: a weekend, a vacation, since yesterday.
- Pally reads the unread threads and pulls out what changed: confirmations, moved plans, decisions.
- Ask to zoom in on any thread, or switch to replying.
The full routine
Tell Pally how far back the gap goes: a weekend, a vacation, since yesterday. It can cover Gmail, Outlook, or both.
Pally reads the unread threads and pulls out what changed: confirmations, moved plans, decisions. Receipts and notifications get one line.
Ask to zoom in on any thread, or switch to replying. Tell Pally to reply and it sends; ask for a draft and you see it first.
Good for
- Returning to Gmail after a weekend away
- Understanding an Outlook pile after back-to-back meetings
- Finding changed travel or appointment details in email
- Separating what happened from what needs a reply
- Getting one account of updates across two inboxes

Common questions
How is email catch-up different from inbox triage?
Catch-up tells you what happened while you were away. Triage tells you what needs your answer now. Start with one and ask for the other.
Can it cover Gmail and Outlook together?
Yes, with both connected. Ask for one combined catch-up or one account, and Pally says which inbox each item came from.
What if the summary is too short?
Reply with the topic or sender you want and Pally brings back more of that thread.
