Calls

Call it in

Pally makes real phone calls for you: books the table, chases the appointment, sits through the hold music.

Some things still only get done over the phone. Text pally what you need and it dials, talks, presses 1 for reservations, and reports back with what happened.

The routine

How it works

Start with the outcome, not a script. Tell pally who to call, what you want handled, and any boundaries that matter: a preferred time, the name to use, or the answer you will accept. A rough request is fine; pally can ask for the missing detail before it picks up the phone.

Once the request is clear, pally places the call and handles the ordinary back-and-forth. It can work through phone menus, wait on hold, ask the practical follow-up questions, and keep the conversation pointed at the result you asked for instead of handing the call back to you halfway through.

You get a text when there is something useful to know. That might be a confirmed reservation, the appointment times that were available, a quote the business gave, or a precise reason the request could not be completed. If a choice needs your judgment, pally comes back to you rather than guessing.

Reply in the same thread to change course. You can ask for a later table, tell pally to try another day, add one question for the person on the other end, or send it back for a second attempt. The call becomes a conversation you can steer without having to join it.

A useful fit

Good for

  • Restaurant reservations that are only taken by phone
  • Finding an appointment when the online calendar is full
  • Following up with a contractor or local business
  • Waiting through a phone tree or a long hold
  • Confirming details that are unclear on a website

Text it naturally

Things to try

can you call the restaurant and ask for a quiet table for four tomorrow night?
call my dentist and find the first morning appointment they have
can you chase the contractor and ask when the repair is actually happening?
call the shop and see if they'll hold the item until this evening

Before you start

Common questions

What should I include in the first text?+

Give pally the business or person, the result you want, and any constraints you already know. If a reservation must be after a certain time or an appointment cannot land on Tuesday, say that up front; pally will ask if an essential detail is still missing.

What happens if the person asks something I did not cover?+

Pally can handle routine clarification from the context you gave it. When the answer depends on a preference or commitment only you can make, it texts you for direction instead of inventing an answer, then continues with what you decide.

Will I know exactly what happened on the call?+

Yes. Pally reports the useful outcome in the text thread, including confirmed details, available alternatives, or why the call did not resolve the request. You can reply with another instruction if the first result is not quite right.
