Guide
How to reset your sleep schedule over two weeks
Choose a wake time you can keep every day for two weeks and move toward it gradually. Get daylight after waking, reduce bright light before bed, and keep naps and caffeine from pushing sleep later.
A schedule can support sleep, but it cannot diagnose insomnia or another health condition. Ask a doctor about persistent sleep trouble, loud snoring, breathing pauses, severe daytime sleepiness, or symptoms that worry you.
A practical approach
What to do
Anchor the wake time
Pick a wake time that works for class, work, and weekends, and keep it within a narrow range for fourteen days. Put the alarm across the room. Sleeping late after a rough night shifts the next night later, but if you are too sleepy to drive safely, rest first.
Move bedtime gradually
Start winding down a little earlier every few nights instead of forcing a multi-hour jump. Repeat the same sequence, such as washing up, dimming the lights, and reading away from the phone. Go to bed when sleepy and avoid watching the clock after lights out.
Use light and timing
Get outdoor light soon after waking and keep the last part of the evening dim. Keep the phone out of bed or block the apps that stretch the night. If late caffeine or long naps push sleep later, move or cut them gradually.
Track fourteen days
Record bedtime, wake time, naps, late caffeine, and how alert you felt each day. After one week, make one small change for the second week. A simple log is enough to show what changed.
The Pally option
How Pally helps
Pally can schedule wind-down and wake-time reminders in the text thread you already use. It can keep the two-week routine visible, ask for a simple daily update, and adjust future reminders when your schedule changes.
The friendly nag
Hand Pally the thing you keep putting off. It won't forget, and it won't let you either.

Headspace
Headspace fits people who want sleep and meditation content in one app.
Sleep content can support a wind-down routine, but it cannot diagnose ongoing sleep problems.
Calm
Calm fits people who want sleep and meditation content in one app.
Listening at night still involves a device unless you set it up before the phone-free window.
Google Calendar
Google Calendar fits people who want wake, wind-down, and morning-light blocks beside classes and shifts.
Calendar blocks show the plan, but they do not address a medical cause of poor sleep.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can I reset my sleep schedule in exactly two weeks?
Two weeks is a useful period for testing a consistent routine, but how fast a schedule resets varies. If nothing changes after two weeks, a stricter schedule is not the answer.
Should I sleep late after a bad night?
A consistent wake time supports the experiment, but safety comes first. Do not drive while dangerously tired.
When should I see a doctor about sleep?
Ask a doctor about persistent insomnia, severe daytime sleepiness, loud snoring, breathing pauses, unusual movements, or any symptom that concerns you.
