The people you'd hate to drift from: Pally notices the silence before it gets long.
The routine
How it works
Friendships rarely end, they fade. Pally tracks how long it's been with the people who matter to you, nudges you when a silence is getting unusual, and drafts the message that restarts things.
- Name the people you don't want to drift from.
- The nudge follows your rhythm with each person.
- Ask for a draft and adjust it until it sounds like you, then say send.
The full routine
Name the people you don't want to drift from. Pally uses your message history (iMessage through the Pally Mac app, WhatsApp, email) and what it knows about each person.
The nudge follows your rhythm with each person. When a silence stands out, Pally texts you with a recent detail, like a new job, that makes reaching out easy.
Ask for a draft and adjust it until it sounds like you, then say send. Add or remove people, or tell Pally a quiet stretch is expected.
Good for
- Close friends whose usual rhythm has gone quiet
- Following up on a recent job or life change
- Writing a natural message after a longer gap
- Remembering the context for the last conversation
- Keeping a chosen circle visible without a rigid schedule

Common questions
How does Pally decide a silence is unusual?
It compares the gap to your usual rhythm with that person, so six weeks can be normal for one friend and long for another.
Can I control who gets tracked?
Yes. Add or remove people by texting Pally, and tell it when a long pause is expected.
Will Pally send the check-in by itself?
No. When a silence stands out, Pally suggests a message and shows you the draft. Tell it to send and it goes.
