So, Lindy or Pally?

The case for Lindy

Pick Lindy if your team wants an AI teammate in Slack and an executive assistant in the strict sense: meetings recorded, the inbox managed proactively, and drafts waiting for your send. Pooled team credits and Enterprise plans suit a company rollout.

The case for Pally

Pick Pally if you want one assistant for your own life, work included: family, friends, errands, and the inbox. Pally manages your WhatsApp, iMessage, LinkedIn, and X messages, calls businesses and waits on hold, picks up calls on a number you give out, books travel, and checks out with your payment wallet. It's free; Lindy's free credits expire after seven days.

Where Lindy shines.

It texts you first

Lindy doesn't wait for you to check the inbox. It labels what came in, drafts replies in your voice, and texts you when something important needs a decision. For email-driven work, that proactive loop is well built.

The full meeting lifecycle

Scheduling, recording, notes, prep, action items, follow-ups. Lindy owns the meeting end to end. Pally reads your connected meeting notes, but it doesn't record meetings itself, so if capture matters, Lindy has the edge.

A teammate in your Slack

Lindy now leads with Slack: your team DMs it or brings it into channels and threads, with pooled credits and guardrails in shared threads. More than 1,000 integrations by Lindy's own count give it a lot of work context before it drafts a word.

Your data stays out of training

Lindy says your data is never used to train models, with nothing to switch off. Pally trains on conversations by default, and you turn that off in settings.

What each one costs.

Lindy

$29.99/mo

Lindy offers $50 in free credits with no card required, but they expire after seven days. Paid Team usage starts at $29.99 per user a month for 3,000 credits, pooled across the team. Larger credit packs are available, top-ups cost $10 per 1,000 credits, and Enterprise pricing is custom. There is no ongoing free allowance advertised.

Pally

Free

Pally is free, with almost unlimited usage limits. No waitlist or invitation. Cloud Mac is a paid add-on. Every connection, every automation, calls, and its own number and email.

Switching from Lindy.

Pally's setup is texting a number, and connecting accounts is tapping a link it sends you. No account to create first.

  1. Connect your email and calendar first

Gmail, Outlook, or iCloud Mail, and your calendars. Pally flags what needs you, summarizes the rest, and checks availability, books and moves events.

  2. Then add the rest

Slack, Notion, Linear, GitHub, Drive, your own WhatsApp, your bank, and your own MCP servers. Save logins to its password vault and Pally runs web errands in a browser with them. Add it to group chats, with per-capability grants controlling what it shares from your accounts.

  3. What carries over

Your accounts: Pally works from the email, calendars, and apps you already use. It remembers the people in your life and what matters to them, and you can browse and edit that memory in its web dashboard.

Pally vs Lindy FAQ.

Does Lindy really work through iMessage?

Yes. You can chat with Lindy over iMessage on iPhone, and over RCS or SMS on Android, so like Pally it lives in your phone's own messages app.

Will Lindy send email without approval?

Lindy's assistant drafts emails and messages for your review, and the send stays with you. Pally sends what you tell it to send, and shows you a draft first when it wrote the words itself. It also finishes the job beyond email: the booking, the purchase, the phone call. It checks with you first on anything you haven't already asked for or approved.

What does Lindy remember compared with Pally?

Lindy's memory is built around work: your inbox, meetings, and follow-ups, and you can edit or delete what it has learned. Pally also remembers the people in your life, the plans you mention in passing, and the preferences you'd never put in a CRM, and you can browse and edit all of it in its web dashboard.

Can Lindy make phone calls?

Lindy offers a receptionist that answers inbound business calls. It doesn't say it calls businesses for you. Pally calls the clinic or the restaurant, waits on hold, and gets through phone menus. Give out its number and Pally picks up, handles the call, and tells you what happened.

Isn't Lindy an agent-building platform?

It was, and the builder still exists for business automations. In 2026 Lindy relaunched around an assistant you can text, and today it pitches that assistant Slack-first, as an AI teammate for teams. You can still reach it over iMessage, RCS, or SMS, and that texted assistant is what this page compares.

Does Lindy have a free plan?

Lindy advertises a Free offer of $50 in credits, but those credits expire after seven days. Paid usage then starts at $29.99 per user a month. Pally is free, with almost unlimited usage limits.

Which is better, Pally or Lindy?

Lindy fits teams that need meeting notes, Slack, and admin controls; its $50 trial credits expire after seven days, then paid usage starts at $29.99 per user a month. Pally is free and fits personal inboxes, calls, and bookings from your texts.

So how does Pally make money?

Pally plans to earn a fee from merchants when you buy through it. Merchants can never pay to change what Pally recommends to you. Cloud Mac, an optional add-on, is paid.

Stay on top of everything.

Text Pally once. It tracks the details and gets the next thing done.
